The purpose of the trainings is to substantiate the importance of the process of Ukrainian standards harmonization to EU-ones to improve business conditions in Ukraine, to provide knowledge about standardization systems and methods of honest business, as well as to develop competencies of participants to create their own effective start-up projects.

Coaches – academic coordinator of the project team – Doctor of Economics, Professor Liudmyla SHULGINA and project participant Ph.D. Hanna ZHADLAK – first of all highlighted the importance of the Jean Monnet module projects in promoting European values and the extraordinary role played by this area of activity in European integration processes over the course of its 30 years existence. Then they acquainted students with the essence and tools of Ukraine’s standards harmonization with the EU standards, the dynamics and role of this process in the European business models implementation in Ukraine.

The trainings brought together over 40 participants from Ukrainian universities who gathered at the ONEY to explore in more detail the aspects of Ukraine’s standards harmonization with the EU standards and offered their own projects which could stimulate this process. The participants of the trainings have received practical skills of effective team interaction while working on projects in which they have improved the existing or developed their own standards of the successful implementation of the European business models in Ukraine. At the same time, the main idea was that the systematic approach should be applied to standards harmonization, including the experience of the EU market, the science and education impact on the economy, the role of socially-oriented business and other innovative changes in the business environment.

Thus, the trainers managed not only to develop project competencies and increase the motivation of the academic community to participate in such trainings, but also to promote the dissemination of information about the Jean Monnet project in various universities of Ukraine.
